The Halifax Mooseheads have traded Zach Fucale and Matt Murphy to the Quebec Ramparts.
Moosheads GM Cam Russell made the trade Friday, sending goaltender Fucale, defenceman Murphy and a 5th round draft pick in 2015 to Quebec.
The Mooseheads will receive goaltender Eric Brassard and rights to Quebec’s 1st and 3rd round draft picks in 2016 and 1st and 2nd round picks in the 2018 QMJHL Entry Draft.
“This was obviously a difficult decision to make for myself and the franchise but we are happy that Zach and Matt will get the opportunity to play for the Memorial Cup once again,” Russell said.
“We want to wish those guys all the best and thank them for everything they’ve done for the Halifax Mooseheads over the past few years.”
