The Halifax Mooseheads are heading into the weekend with back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday night, and the Herd are welcoming back some of their veteran players with open arms.
Zach Fucale, Matt Murphy and Philippe Gadoury recently returned from NHL training camps, and Mooseheads general manager Cam Russell said they’ll will be put to work right away.
“It’s good to have three of our best players back in the lineup,” said Russell.
Questions were raised about Gadoury’s status after suffering headaches at the Montreal Canadiens training camp, but Russell said he’s been cleared to lace up for the green, red and white.
“It was more neck strain than anything,” said Russell. “He’s good and ready to roll.”
The Herd will take on the Chicoutimi Saguenéens on home ice tonight, then hit the road tomorrow to face off against the Saint John Sea Dogs.
Both games can be heard on News 95.7.
